For the second consecutive year, Crunch was an official corporate sponsor of the San Francisco LGBT Pride Celebration. The theme for the 2009 Crunch float was love and the expression of, “Any One, Any Way, Any How" a motto that fits under the umbrella of our "No Judgments” philosophy.
Crunch helped to celebrate the one year anniversary of Casey and Steven, the couple that wed on the Crunch float during the 2008 Pride Parade; in light of the court’s ruling to uphold Proposition 8 - which made same-sex marriages illegal in the state of California - Crunch wanted to show it's strong support of the LGBT community.
The design of the float mimicked that of last year’s with a rotating, life-size cake made of stacked weights and colorful banners alongside the float with messaging from our current advertising campaign. The energy and excitement created by those on the float was amazing. The superstar line up included DJ Vaughn spinning live, Casey, Steven, and their wonderful group of friends, talented Crunch instructors, over-the-top Drag Queens, and sexy Go-Go girls. Over a million on-lookers saw and experienced Crunch during the 2009 SF Pride Parade.
Though there were many, for us the biggest highlight came during the parade's finale when Crunch was presented with an official award from the SF Pride Parade judges for the “Absolutely Fabulous Musical Contingent.”
