On Saturday, November 21st Crunch hosted its third annual Pole Dancing Member Showcase at Crunch 59th Street. More than 300 people turned out to watch jaw dropping, booty shaking, pole twirling acts performed by members and instructors from Crunch 59th Street, 83rd Street, 90 John Street, Park Slope and Union Square locations.
Even before the doors opened at 7pm, palpable energy, excitement and anticipation filled the studio during rehearsal and “backstage" was a flurry of glitter, feathers and fishnets. As the throngs of attendees arrived they were greeted by Crunch staff wearing circus inspired costumes and were treated to complimentary champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.
Guests filed into (and around) the group fitness studio to watch the sultry show, packed with extraordinary tricks and sensual choreography on poles that were lit with hot reds, glistening golds and cool blues. At 7:30pm the performers, serious and focused, took the stage and danced, twirled and wowed with reckless abandon. The show closed with a finale, but the night did not end there. Following the show, the performers and attendees made their way to the official after party at Traffic Bar NYC where the good times continued.
